Collaborative Projects
Wendy Ackland is registered as a Consultant with the Department of Employment, Economic Development & Innovation Queensland (DEEDI) and is able to work with businesses under a variety of projects. At present, these include the Maximising Enterprise Performance Scheme (pilot project) and Jobs Assist - Business Support Project. She also volunteers her time on the Cairns DEEDI Mentoring for Growth panel.
BurntToast® Marketing is committed to supporting the communities in which we work and for us, our charity of choice is the Young Animal Protection Society in Cairns.
In August 2008, we undertook to donate a percentage of all our invoice totals to the Young Animal Protection Society. We use these funds to purchase food and other necessities that assist in the care of the shelters' homeless animals. This support has since expanded to include the provision of services and we now develop newsletters and other marketing materials as needed.
To date, these combined initiatives have allowed us to contribute $2,024.31 in product donations and $1,760 worth of in-kind support. A huge thanks must go to our past and present clients! (amounts current as at 18 January 2010).
